Re: Ca storm
Welp, Kat & I stopped by our buddy's shops that got hit...he got hit in a bad way. He runs a home/auto HVAC business in the smaller shop in front, and his 2 sons run an autobody business out of the bigger shop directly behind...anyway, half the big shop is gone, and the majority of his smaller shop is gone...I shouldn't say "gone", as a lot of it is in tree tops down across the holler. You can see the path from across the highway, over his place, and on across the next ridge...across the highway from his place is a creek feeds the creek in our bottom field, so I'm guessing that locomotive sound around 4:30am was the wind that wrecked his place, I'd say the sound was traveling down the creek/holler. Another house between his house and mine has part of the roof gone also.
Coulda been worse, our buddy and his wife live in a trailer house not more than 25 feet from the shop, and his elderly mother lives in another small house about 20 feet on the other side of him, but they weren't touched...no insurance on the shops, though.
