Imagine hitting a record breaking ice/snow storm (Superbowl weekend 1986) on the way back from buying the car and seeing this unfold in front of you, mile after mile. It was a complete white out and these guys still felt invincible at 65 mph...until they tried to change lanes, take a curve, stop, or take an exit ramp. I felt like Mel Gibson in the original Mad Max...just trying to make it home, running a guantlet of insane truck drivers. There was about 1,000 miles of this:

incredible Steve! the day i brought my 69 RR home in 96 was very similar. a crazy snow/ice storm. i remember one time looking out the drivers side window to see my RR on the trailor looking to pass in the passing lane
