I watch "Top Gear" every Monday night on BBC America, and that is the only time he was impressed with any Corvette. He also took the Z06 from a dead stop to top speed in 5th gear, with no shifting.
Very impressive test drive on a long runway. However, he also said that the Z06 was not practically suited for every day driving, just too much car for the effort required.
In other words, just get the regular 'vette unless you plan on going racing.
