That is one thing that I haven't decided on yet. Wether or not to paint the shaft or have someone else clean it up like polishing. I'd have to have one made or find a good used one. The one that was in my car looks like an old piece of exhaust pipe. Yea, it's that rotted and pitted. The only things that are good are the ends. I saw in another post that there was a driveshaft resto place, but I know they wouldn't want that thing. I hear you on the rust issue. I have to take of pic of this thing so you know what I have to deal with.

If the shaft is pit free you can polish them. I started with 80 grit on a DA and worked my way down until it shined. Then I clear coated it.
