carlsbad is clear of the fire danger but the fire in rancho bernardo is making headway towards the pacific ocean and already threatening rancho santa fe .also really getting hit hard now is the residents of bigbear in the communities of arrowhead , green valley and running springs

this afternoon they showed the remains of a house in the running springs area of big bear and it was totally destroyed .what was sad was the news reporter and camera man showing the burnt out remains of a fully restored 57 ford thunderbird

we're really struggling here in socal with these fires as there is just not enough resources to help fight all the wildfires .and there just isn't enough aircraft to help but we're getting help from the military with water dropping C-130's that can deploy 3000 gallons of water .what is really cool to watch is the DC-10 aircraft as it get's down to almost tree-top level and deploys over a mile long of foscheck chemical .right now the local news channel that has been covering the fires non-stop since sunday is saying that the fires in big bear and in the socal area of irvine /santiago canyon are getting really nasty with the fires regaining intensity and threatening homes
