My opinion is that these cars need some rule changes to make them safer. There are more accidents, or near accidents then there were in the old days of front engine dragsters! I feel that there is a tremendous amount of responsibility on the track officials to "prep" the track properly to handle the power these cars are making. Something HAS to be done to ensure more of these cars make it all the way down the track without the typical lane-changing or flipping in the lights that they have a reputation for!!!!
If I was running that class, no matter how well I thought my car was dialed in or how sure I was about handling it, I"d be more worried about being wrecked by the car in the other lane than just beating him.......... And that's no way to go racing!
