I've had BB manifolds ceramic coated, then I paint them with Chev orange. Looks very correct after the orange burns off the lower part of the manifold leaving the grey exposed.

Every orig BB I've seen and fac docs show orange painted mainifolds (bare mainifold factory installed before the engine was painted - then painted with the engine). Bare cast iron manifolds were not bolted to a painted engine as with some SB.
