While I don't see it quite as black, or white as you do, I don't disagree enough to argue.
I would though encourage anyone here who believes that the system is broken, to become part of the process to fix it. Run for elected office. Town council, alderman, schoolboard, mayor, whatever. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.Democracies don't just fix themselves. People need to quit griping, and get directly involved.
One thing you will find out though, is that there are very few quick fixes, and most issues have many shades of gray.
The most important thing to remember is that you represent real folks, with very real problems, and if they are your constituents, you are responsible for them, and their needs.
Again, become involved. Had the founding fathers sat around and just bitched all day, we'd still be drinkin tea.
