45k without the original motor and possibly trans and rear end? Judging from the ladder bars it's been enjoyed before being put back to stock for it's long hibernation. Without paper or motor it could easily be an original 396 car but i'm not sure how one could document anything for certain at this point given what's not present.I would think the pan is as soft as those quarters(NOS one's nearing 3K)and he states it's been parked for nearly thirty years... she's gonna need a big hug.I have to agree with both you and Howard that 50k for one that's all there with ironclad docs is ballpark valuation,but this one does not make economical sense for a top shelf project imo.

On a side note i'm totally convinced at this point that mice obviously know that the upper right corner is the rib- eye of the sheet
