Default Re: 1968 P01 wheel covers

Joe,
I've never driven one of these cars with manual brakes and steering.. I can only imagine what its like . Its a tough call on restoring this car because it is so bare bones that adding the power assist stuff might take away from its "personality".
The only options it had are the L36, m20,am radio, posi and the hubcaps. That is it.
On the other hand it could be altered and then returned to stock later also. I already have a power box from a parts car, so I would just need to put together a disc set up.
I'll have to do some thinking on that...I'm a ways off from that point anyway right now i'm still gathering missing parts. I think being a Canadian built car its probably pretty rare, and parts in this day and age are not easily found, I think a lot of these things got raped for mechanical parts for Chevelles, Camaros, Novas and the like...and then recycled into soup cans and Toyotas.
Thats an interesting fact about the rally wheels and hubcaps, I didn't know that.
Mark.
