That is what is so nice about this hobby we learn daily.I could be wrong Bill since our knowledge just comes from comparing two shifters side by side. The one out of the chevelle as you can see by the shape it is in was removed in 76 the impala one I think I took it out of a factory car in probally the early 80's so assuming nothing was changed we are on track. take care Joe
