My now deceased Grandparents moved down to Brownsville Tx. in 1985.
We would occasionally visit them every few years.
While we were down there,a car rearended us on our way back from Reynosa Mx. at 1 mph just before the border crossing. We were the victims and didn't even feel a thing. We ignored it.
The hispanic driver behind us who hit us,jumped out of his car and rolled around moaning and holding his neck.
My Grandpa, who was driving, laughed while watching all this unfold in his mirror,yelling.."Senoir,we haven't officially made it into America yet".
We then kept on moving up in line to the border check, and the other driver jumped back into his vehicle behind us as if all was fine until we all did actually cross the border.
That's where the driver behind us repeated his act all over again and my Grandpa just laughed and said,.."it feels good to be home".
