There is a little hole in the side of the fuel pump. When the diaphram goes bad it will weep stuff out of that hole. You could also have stuck float in the carb that could make it flood. A stuck float will let any pressure in the fuel line overflow the carb andf fill the intake, eventually making it's way into the cylinders and past the pistons into the oil. Drain the oil before you try to start the car again. If there is enough gas in the oil pan it can make a heck of a explosion.
