Was this a Baltimore car? If so, was it the "Pilot" car?

We have all heard the LS6/L89 or the fiberglass hood and fenders or the LS6 Monte Carlo or the 4 speed MC or the.........The point is, they are all stories until someone comes up with some type of proof. I too have heard some of these stories. Some are fairy tales while others seem to have some validity. We all know that they made no '67 SS427/425 Impalas. Last year I was given a story and some photos of a supposed 427/425 Impala. Though not enought to varify it beyond a shadow of a doubt, the owner was at least interested in finding the truth himself and willing to share information with certain people who could be trusted with it. He had some pretty interesting photos and background information. Hearsay is just that, hearsay. Not passing judgement on this car but when someone asks for help, the tools needed for that help should be supplied.

There is one, it wasn't destroyed and the where it went is a Mystery but a REAL and TRUE story ,so there is ONE maybe still out there. Plain Jane ,no emblems ,steel wheels, flat hood ,the exhaust tips gave it away or it would have made it to the other side of the gate

Jim is right. There are actually many of these one off cars that were built for testing and many were released to the public, some to inside GM people for testing, Monte Carlo convert, '65 Impala 4-door convert, Z-16 convert, etc, etc. Most were destroyed while some got out so ANYTHING is mpossible.
