Summer of 77 before I went off to college I had to make a tough choice. I could keep my 69 triple black SS 4spd Chevelle with a built motor that I couldn't keep my foot out of and would only make from one gas station to the next. Or sell it and buy a 76 Corolla. I let the Chevelle go for under $1000, had the POS Corolla all thru college. The second owner after me hit a cow at a high rate of speed and that was it for the Chevelle. I probably would have killed myself in that car and have no regrets about getting my degree. Sure would like to have that car back though, it was the nicest car in the little podunk town I lived in.
