Default Re: WTB: AIR CLEANER FOR 1970 L78 CAMARO

I asked the seller some questions to authenticate his auction. Said the PCV dimple was there but the tips were Round vs. Oval. My personal opinion is the air cleaner is homemade, possibly a 1970 LT1 with long snorkels added or Cowl Induction base with an added snorkel. The snorkels look to narrow at the base and the snorkels look too far apart at the base. Example: If the air cleaner in question was laid flat with one snorkel at 12 oclock, the other looks to be at 20 after where as a true 70 LS6/L78 would be at 15 after almost a true 90 degree angle. His looks like a 110-120 degree angle. Ebay contacted me to see if he was trying to sell it to me off ebay. He did not try to sell it to me as I would not be interested in it anyways. I was hoping my questions would be published on the auction page to throw up a red flag but they were not. With prices for these Rare air cleaners hitting the stratosphere there are some dishonest folks trying to pass immitations off as real ones to unsuspecting buyers. My advice DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! For some reason the auction was pulled.
