What also happens with these auctions is sellers have friends bid-up the price or use the buy it now. The goal is to drive prices higher. I looked at a Z11 a few months ago. It was sold 3 times over ebay before I looked at it. The seller still has it and will not budge on his price because, as he said, it sold for 15k when it was listed. He even tried to convince me that the last buyer (ha ha
) gave him a $500.00 deposit and never showed up to take the car. It's a shame the car is a total mess. I believe it truely was a Z11 396-375 horse 4 spd car, but an obviuos repro cowl tag, different motor, questionable rear axle, and more rust than the Titanic made me move on.
