Re: Here's a nice weekend project fixer-upper
Rick/Eric
Growing up there was a junk yard I went to just about every saturday morning faithfully. This was a third gen operation going back to the 30's.For some reason the father who I called pops had a thing for the cowl tags, vins and titles, especially gm products. Always told me the insurance company he got the cars from told him to remove them when the cars hit the yard. We thought it was just to keep him busy and around the barns so left him go do his thing. Regardless he had what I seen two boxes at least two feet square filled with titles with the vins and cowls tied to them.Chevelles, camaros you name it
When they closed about 10 years ago he asked if I wanted them or if they were of any value to anyone and I remember both his son and I saying no pops throw them out.
For the hobby Thank GOD we did but I think now he would Kill me if he ever finds out what they are selling for on e-bay.These would have been canadian produced cars that gm would have provided full docs for.Talk about a clone issue
