Default Re: 1970 HemiCuda Lookalike/clone not yet done

Well guys, it’s been a couple of years since I last offered this for sale to you guys here and I feel the need to attempt to raise some money once again… Maybe someone out there actually has some extra cash left they’d wish to part with and would like this cool car in their collection? If you have some time to kill, take a gander at this listing…….

Basically it’s the same car as before (please read the old thread info for most of the pertinent details), but much closer to completion. Although not done yet, it could be purchased any where from as-is status to 100% complete, priced accordingly of course.

Even though I’ve done quite a bit more work to it, and spent lots more money (close to $100K currently invested), I feel inclined to offer it for much less than before (Thank you so much current economy and stock market!)…. What say we shoot for $45K plus or minus, depending on what stage of completion you want the car to leave my house in…

I realize there are many vehicles currently available at some very good prices, but perhaps this one appeals to you more than some of the others you have been checking out. If so, drop me a line or feel free to give me a call on my cell at 707-287-5041. Charlie

Some current car info:

I never acquired that Hemi I was looking for so I decided to install the 550HP 493 Cube Big Block that I already owned (as described in the previous write-up). Even though it had less than 1000 miles on it from when I ran it in my AAR Cuda, I decided to have my machine shop (the one that built the engine) pull the heads and give it a good checkup for the heck of it….. All was perfect of course, exactly as expected. I did repaint it a correct Hemi Orange, rather than the blue that it was originally painted. So even though the car doesn’t have a Hemi in it, it still looks like a HemiCuda and could be upgraded with a Hemi in the future in one was so inclined…

I have most everything needed to complete the car and could have it running and driving fairly quickly. The interior still needs to be installed, along with the vinyl top, glass and some additional exterior trim items. The pictures should show some details as to the current status through today, although I am still tinkering on it now and then when I have the time…

My pics are not the best, but should be good enough for starters. You really have to see the car in person to appreciate the quality of the paint and the “flash factor” !! P.S. that’s my son in some of the pics I’m about to post. He was quite helpful when we did the body drop over the drivetrain….
