There is an old fable about the difference between heaven and hell.
Take two very similar situations, but with very different endings.
Long story short, the moral of the story is that in heaven, everybody looks out for everybody else.
In hell, people only think about themselves.
Shows what govt assistance can do to people.
Congress could have voted to give everybody who lost their home in NO $1mil, provided that they stay there and pay for rebuilding a house they would own free and clear, and it would have saved the taxpayers a billion $$$.
However, our tax dollars go to pay for FEMA, and a half a dozen other useless govt agencies.
God helps those who help themselves.
