MIA Burnished Brown 11k mile 69 Z
Reading about some of the interesting cars that resurface on this sight has me wondering about a long gone car I should still own. In 1979 I purchased an 11,000 mile '69 Z-28, Burnished Brown/White stripe/Blk std interior, cowl hood, spoilers, Rosewood, chambered that was just a brand new car. Mags & Mickey Thompsons on car with 5 Sport Car 200's that the 4 that were driven on were as good as the spare new one. Owner claimed mags were put on same day as delivery new at about 20 miles. Probably the most incredible thing about this car was AWESOME original paint to a point that most people did not believe it could be, but it was real. Locking flush hood pins caused me to put on a NOS hood painted in R-M factory pack lacquer and got a perfect color match on both colors. Interior was killer flawless as new. Never, never in any inclement weather so underside was as it left Norwood, most of the rear end was still bare metal in places. I kept car until 1988, sold at a weak moment to a guy in western New York, car supposedly was sold early 90's at some auction, went to Jersey I'm told. Just curious if any of you know the car......if you saw it, you would take notice if it still looks the same and I bet it does. Probably the best orig paint I have ever seen on a sixties car. If you own it or know who does I have lots more info on the car I would share.
