It is most definitely a 1971 Challenger R/T.
As evidenced by the unique 71-only tail lights, the 70/71-only side marker lamps, the 71-only quarter panel louver, the 70/71 high back bucket seats, the unique emblem hole position for the "426HEMI" emblem on the hood, (though the "426" part is broken off), the 71-only R/T upper quarter to front fender stripe, the 70/71-only Plum Crazy paint which looks to be original by the way it is sloughing off the car, the 70/71-only rear bumper without the jack cutouts....
If real, it's one of 75 built: 58 4-speeds, 12 automatics and 5 exports shipped to Canada.
