Re: on eBay...a factory 283 '67 Camaro!
I saw that one and wondered if it was going to show up here or not. Interesting to say the least. Didn't even know they were ever made but hey you learn something new every day. So much for that old dog saying... As far as $'s go I would guess it would be of interest to a bona fide Camaro collector. Just how much I don't know but I would guess somewhere in the second generation range of high 20's to upper 30's when it is finished and back on the street. Ebay is blocked at work so I have not seen the auction since early yesterday.
A good friend of mine that collects Camaros was able to purchase a plain jane 67 with a 327/210 and manual trans. White with a red interior. The car was gorgeous with a complete nut and bolt restoration that was 3 years old. It was even an AACA Senior Award winner. He sold it but it took 12 months and he barley broke even. Got somewhere around 18-19K on it. Hard to beleive you could pick up an AACA Senior Award winner for that price. Believe it went to a dealer in Ohio where he purchased an original unrestored survivor 66 Vette. Don't know what has become of that 67 since.
There's a garage in California that has some room that could use something plain, simple and not too exotic as compared to what else is currently in there.......go for it Charley that '67 Pace Car needs a playmate!
