A lot of you make good points and many are positive. However, sellers are very quick to demand how fast you must send them a down payment or full payment yet it does not seem to be a two way street. Also and in a lot of cases, it likely takes more time to place the add in the first place then it does to sit down, box it up and ship it and certainly a lot less time then it takes to run to the bank and deposit their check. Lets be realistic, how much time for most items can it take? In todays modern world, there is really very few excuses for NOT answering a phone message or e-mail. There are plenty of times that a quick cell call can me made.
The only point I am trying to make is that to some degree it is still a business and we are still their customers. Treat your customers like you would want to be treated. Keeping buyers happy goes a long ways. I am not a member of ebay but if I were selling something, I would likely have the item ready for shipment when I placed the add. When the check was received and cleared, I would address the box and ship it. No big deal???? Just an opinion so don't start flame throwing.
