Default Re: Biscayne Resto Project

O.K..........The engine is finished,.......the Engine that was in the car when I bought it was a 454 block, 427 Crank,Oval Port Heads, and a Aluminum Rectangle Port #163 Manifold........Nice Combination.......Not!!
I bought a set of Rectangular Port Open Chamber Heads from Tom Williams (Wilmasboy) that were on a crate engine he put in one of his cars that he replaced with Aluminum heads..........( By the way....Tom owns enough cars to be Classified as a "Spoiled Brat" ...LOL)......these are the newer style heads that didn't have the pipe plugs in them.......I wanted the Stock appearance so I took them and had the Pipe Plugs put in for the Stock look......I know there are other things that are not exactly correct with the Engine, but "That's" O.K..........
Anyhow, we now have the Big Heads, the Block is Bored .060 and has Forged Pistons that give around 10.2 Compression, Balanced Rotating Assy, and a Crane "Blueprinted" L-72 camshaft.......Should make a "Sweet" street Motor........also got a Repro set of 827/828 Exhaust Manifolds from Chuck (427King)......the Manifolds need the parting line flash to be cleaned up a little, but except for the machined bosses where the bolts hold them to the head, they are Pretty close to Original

Chip.......The Engine Builder

827/828 Manifolds
