It has a lot to do with several components, one being the instrinsic value of the underlying car.
The example of the L78 is a very good one. Lets say/assume that the value difference of a 6 cly Nova vs an L78 car for car is $50k, then you could expect a majority of that value to carry over to the cloned/modified car.
This is a very similar comparison to Tom's situation with the GTO Judge with RAIV parts added.
Did anyone look over the one which just sold at the last Mecum Auction?
