Default Re: Police Station Wagon...by Berger

Still missing my '91 Caprice wagon I drove for 5 years. Bought it with 26K on the odo in 2001 or so, two toned it to cover up the old guy's dents and dings, then added some 17" wheels to fill the wheelwells (it had super narrow cheapo tires on it and those look-like-Kmart-but-actually-OEM-Chevy plastic hubcaps when I bought it). It ably and uniquely handled family truckster duties while my family grew from 3 to 5. The 305 was a pig, however (and not miserly-15mpg no matter how I drove). I sold it this year with 76K on it for $6K.

Those '94/96 LT1's are definately the way to go. This cop-spec one may be the coolest optioned one I've seen. I love the lack of woodgrain, but that medium blue velour interior and digital dash are not favorites of mine.

I showed my wife that bigwagon website, she just smiled and rolled her eyes. A great gal, but has never quite understood my station wagon fetish.....
