I am about as good with cameras as I am with computers. I wanted something I could take very detailed close up shots as well as telephoto and action pictures. After telling the salesman at Best Buy what I need the camera for, he suggested the Canon S3 IS. The camera is 6.0 Mega Pixel and with a very nice case, batteries, 2 GB memory card and memory card reader, and a 4 year extended warranty, the total cost was around $570. I am very happy the camera, it is relatively user friendly once you read the library that comes with it and takes great shots.
