My 2003 dist has no x marks on it . . its dated 9G11, vac adv 201 and cam is a 532CCW.
jeff indicated his research has shown in the 70 parts book, dated sept of 69 the distributor 2003 as a 70 dist for a 302 engine...which we know never had a 302 for 1970 cars. He also said that the cam may have been a 530 cam with a little less slot to handle emmisions for the 70 yr.
Im no way an expert on research of this stuff, but there seems to be something about the late cars and this distributor 2003.
Maybe more info can surface from other members to help establish a pattern.
