I've come a little closer to tracking down John Helmke. I called all the Helmke's in St. Louis and got ahold of his son. He is passing my contact information along to his dad. He said not to hold my breath, the car is a real sore spot within the family. Here's a poor photo of the Motion sticker. I had horrible lighting and using the flash on the window was unproductive. I did take the time to read back a couple years of the Motion posts. What I got from the reading is that only the Baldwin dealership cars are considered "true" Motion supercars although Joel used a network of dealers both domestic and foreign to build his performance parts empire. What I did'nt fully understand is if these dealers also were involved with the L72 conversions? I hear a book is in the works?
