Northstar Dragstrip, MN circa 1978. Vega station wagon with a built 396 gets about 15 feet out of the box and twists the front U-joint off the driveshaft. The shaft falls to the ground, digs in, cartwheels the car in the air to the point that the rear end broke loose from it's mounts rotating upwards to the point where the rear joint now fails. The shaft continues on it's travels and punches a hole in the floor pan and out the rear tailgate. Not a pretty site and good thing he was only getting started down the track.
