John- "GG" is a reference to the last 2 characters in this carbs application part no. (whole part no. is 3967477 GG). This no. designates it for a 454/450HP/4spd & 402/375/4spd use.

Thanks Sam. So if all 4 speed 70 L78 LS6 received the GG stamped carbs, what is a 4557 list 3967477 <font color="orange"> without</font> the GG? Is it a over the counter replacement item or for a automatic transmission?
