The radio delete dashes prior to '73 did not have any cutouts for the radio opening -therefore, no need for a blockoff plate. Of course, a block off plate could be installed if the factory lacked the r/d bezel, but it would be unusual. The bezel was all one piece, so we call them radio delete bezels. The '68's are the really cool ones!! I'll try to find a pic of one.
