I meant to say that I thought I read about the saved Fastback on Rabbit's board. Thomas did have the engine set back with the firewall/cowl cut to clear and Allen Green had moved the rear forward later but yes, they definitely stretched the front end 8-10" and maybe even squeaked the engine back farther.
