Remember it's easy to register old cars here in Ontario....no matter what anyone says, ususally there's no lawyers needed. . If the Vehicles office doesn't get a Vin match on pre-80 stuff they expect it's an actual Ontario vehicle that was never computer entered or registered since this system was put in effect....fill out a few papers and here's your title! . If this doesn't work there's a few more ways that can procure a title to the Vin of your choice. . No grief for anyone as long as no one questions things....if they do, the paper trail is examined and the spankings are handed out then.

That's easy here in CT also. I bought a '72 van from Penn. on eBay back in January. I registered the van only knowing the vin, went to Penn. and drove it home.
I can register any classic car, knowing only the vin.
