C'mon Les, I warned you I was going to have some fun with this info. I think it is great you got a GT, we finally agree on something

OK, you asked for dyno numbers:

-Stock, first pull: 454 HP @ wheels
-Stock, plugs cleaned and gapped to .035" : 532 HP @ wheels
-2.7" blower pulley and base HP tune: 594 HP
-Modified tune: 618 HP

I have not tested it yet with the headers, intake air boot air foil, or the new special spark plugs. I am guessing it should be around 640 HP +/- at the wheels. Not bad for about $6k in mods.

Problems? Yep, a few:
-Loose hose clamp on bypass hose spraying coolant at 50 miles. Tightened clamps.
-Supercharger had oil leak from front seal at 1,000 miles. Ford sent a factory engineer out and replaced the blower at my shop, under warranty.
-Engine cover was hard to close, same engineer adjusted the latches and it is fixed.
-Transaxle leaked fluid from the vent when the car was driven hard - fluid would expand and some would reach the vent. Very common problem. The fix was buying the Ford Racing transaxle cooler kit and installing it. $1500 part and about 45 min. install. No more oil leak.

Overall, I am very pleased and love the car. It is a blast to drive, and it is fun to let friends drive it and come back saying "WOW! I gotta get one of these!". I think I know a guy from Vegas that did that

For the record, yes, I have had issues and bugs to work out of this car. However, nowhere near as bad as my 2004 GMC, 2005 Audi S4 Jennifer bought, or even my old 2002 Z06 that had a NEW ENGINE under warranty at 1000 miles because the cylinder sleeves were leaking coolant into the oil. Hey, nothing is perfect, especially (hate to say it, but) cars from Detroit!

Best part is, when you are flogging the GT you forget having to go to the dealer a few times to get it right

Colin
