Re: 427 Baldwin Motion Nova For Sale
ok, after seeing 12 pages of input on this, I am ready to give my 2cents as a passsive hobbyist.
This got posted and I have watched a full range of emotions from sorry to disappointment to scorn and so on....
The reality is that as soon as this got posted, there was a line forming of people ready to "take this off his hands" for the $25k and when someone recognized that it was real and offered $50k for a car that was admittedly worth $75-100k, you all got up and wallowed in how you all got screwed. The reality is that you all smelled a deal and I am willing to bet that there was a chance the car would be rolled quick once purchased.
As a passive observer of this site, I watched the last fiasco where a guy posted a question to the group about a specific car on Ebay (you remember??) and before you know it there is an identical string of posts to the current going on out there and inevitably, someone getting screwed by someone else and the ethics of everyone else falling in question.
Truth is, if I found a ride that was some type of hidden treasure, the first thing you guys do is try to zero in on location; where is the car, post some pics, do you have a pic of the VIN? and so on til you can try to figure out where the car is or who has it. If I ever came across a ride of any merit, this is the last board I would post to. While I recognize there are some true hobbyist here, the majority are hell bent on finding the next best and greatest ride and taking it out from under someone. Nothing personal, just my 2cents.
