OK, got the chance to finally meet some folks from this site. Stopped by Denis' and Bud's space and asked about buying a fake trim tag. That got a good reaction

Anyway, nice meeting you guys. Sorry I didn't get a chance to stop back, but I spent a little too much time at the auction and had to jet. Also sorry I missed Sam, but I got to see his sweet Camaro ragtop in the pavillion
Re: photos, I didn't take much. Here are a few cars that went thru the auction. Charger bid into the 30's but didn't meet the reserve of around $42K. 68 Chevelle SS was a real deal SS, clean car that sold before I got there, price unknown. 69 Chevelle SS was also real deal SS with POP. Nice California car with built 396. Bid to $18K, but owner was looking for $20K even. It may have sold after crossing the block - lots of people around the owner afterwards. Nice car for the money if someone stepped up. One other noteworthy car which I did not get pix of was a 68 Camaro SS with the L89 engine. Original Nevada car with a notarized affidavit from a previous owner about its heritage. For sale by an infamous Portland-area dealer who I'm guessing the Camaro guys know all about

Car was announced as a restamp while on the block. The pad looked it plain as day. Bid to $62K and was a no-sale. Supposedly sold for around $80K just two years ago.
Probably a better place to be a buyer than a seller, which seems to be the case with these smaller auctions.
