Re: 1972 BM Mako for sale on Ebay
Hi Guys:
Thats my car on e-bay and yes I did buy it from John Aruzza. It's still up in the air if it's for real or not.
I have had several lenghty conversations with the guy who did Joels interior work back in the day, he says its one of Joel's cars. He told nme exactly what to look for and then told me to go down to Florida and get Joel to sign off. If you look at the pictures on the listing, the entire interior is done. Per interior guy, he only did this for Motion cars as 99% of the guys that came to hime off the street just wanted the front done, most bang for the buck
2. Back of the seats are wrapped with material. Per interior guy he only did this for Motion Cars (look at pictures on listing). He is also the one the clued me off and told me to look for green paint. When he first got this car Joel called him and asked "what do you think of my Yellow car", to which the interior guy replied, "yellow, you gotta be kidding me, this car is Green". Per my conversations with Rosen he confirmed this story, although he would not confirm this was the car. I spoke with the guy who painted ther wrong color, he remebers the car and I believe that this car wasn't the best memory for him (Joel was unhappy with the paint and headlight installation, I don't think this guy got paid). I THINK the cars the real deal. I'm close on documetation. Anybody heard of little John or John Battaglia who painted cars in The NYC/Jersey area for Motion?
