Donnie that's not as unusual as some might think.
I first came across a Chevelle like that in 1988 and always thought it had a bogus buildsheet.
I kept a copy of it as an example and over time found more of the same like it soon afterwards.
Yours looks authentic to me,as some 396's,be it L-34 or L-78,were coded like that.I have examples of 1970 Chevelle SS Documents showing cars build like that unevenly as early as mid November,to the begining of December. My opinion is it was an override code that wasn't needed and overlooked, before being deleted on some of the Baltimore L-34 396 builds.
I would also like others to take notice of pullerNC5,or should I say "G-Dog".
There is only one person I know of that uses the words "logical","hypothesis" & "hence" in the same paragraph, and he was asked to be banned from this site just last week,so it was honored to him at his embarrasing request because he couldn't stay true to his own word.So will the real Greg Carlson form Richmond,Va. please stand up,or is this the infamous "backdoor" you speak so highly of?
