I'd be surprised if they up the ante anytime soon on the 425 HP Hemi (but it would surely be nice). I doubt they intend to go head to head with the Shelby right off the bat. The Shelby is a special, "limited" production car and has significantly bumped up HP over the "regular" production V-8 'stangs and will be released a couple of years after the 'stangs redesign. Perhaps after a year or two of blazing sales, Walter P. and company will release a special edition souped up hemi option (R/T SC - supercharged?) for the Challenger which will put the hurt on FOMOCO.
In any case, the winner will be John Q. Public as a result of the good ol' American business competition factor.
