Why is that people do this to historical cars

. The '66 Hemi Plymouth that beat Jenkins was initially restored to stock. Someone bought it from the guy who restored it and put it back to the way it should of been. The Gyspy T/A Challenger was literally days away from losing its' heritage until the stops was put on restoring it. The new owner didn't realize that it was worth so much more in it's unrestored condition. Here in the very near future I'm going to see the collection owned by Don Fezzel and looking at those old Stock and Super Stock cars wouldn't be the same if they were restored to stock. Can you imagine Strickler's Old Reliable without all the lettering?
