This car was built by Mopar to compete with(Eliminate) Ray Allen's 70 LS6 Chevelle convertible at the 1970 Indy Nationals. The two cars never met in eliminations due to a red light start by Ray Allen prior to meeting Jack Werst. Jack knew his Cheater Bird would never pass a post race tear down, so he also redlighted and loaded the car and left Indy.
