Default Re: realistic price for 70 Z-28

With that said just what more then the "COPO" 3 piece spoiler makes it anymore valuable then say the same car built the same day but with a shorty spoiler and restored to that same level?

If I read your statement correctly using your figures for the two number 1 cars, you're telling me that the 3 piece spoiler adds close to $60,000 to the value??

Rick,

I have owned the car for over 25 years and to me it has no price as it is not for sale- however to others it appears quite valuable at this time, as value is in the eye of the beholder. ED Coneen states that there were less than 500 produced in '70 with the SCCA race required production option, and in the case of COPO 9796 limited production numbers is the dollar varible for the final value for an individual who wants to buy a given car.

Level of restoration plays a part- RS, 4 Speed, Factory Original Drivetrain, Z-28, POP, A binder of original documentation, Signed affedavit from the original owner, Photos from when the car was new and Finally orange with white stripes.

Your 06-B car could very well be the real deal.

Phil
