Spoke to the owner of this car - very nice fellow. This is one bad beast. He is quite the Buick freak and knows how to build and dial these cars in. He runs this car with some regularity at the strip. He reports that the car has dipped into the TENS! Sounds very nice when its running.
BTW, the green '70 442 convertible, 4 speed that Bruce mentions/shows above, belongs to a friend of mine who wants to sell it. I told him I wld circulate it for him at the local car show (such a sacrifice on my part
). Car was frame off restored locally 18 mos. ago and 1400 miles ago. Numbers matching block, M21. She drives beautifully and pulls nicely and never overheated in a 1.5 hr round trip in 100+ temps.
