So what you are saying is if the car has an M22 and the partial VIN matches then it's a possible Z/28, L78 or COPO?

I disagree. Just having an M22 doesn't prove anything. You could get an M20 or an M21 with any of those cars.
It takes more to prove these cars then just having a tranny match the VIN.

His VIN is to early for any COPO or Yenko so you can rule out those.
