Default Canadian "RED TAG" cars

Anyone have any wisdom on Canadian RED TAG cars? . I have an Oshawa built '67 Biscayne 396 2 Door Post car built for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. . The Cowl Tag notes "RED TAG RCMP" also a unique paint code. . GM Canada confirmed the options by Vin also the Special Paint but could shed no light on the Red Tag thing. . About 10 years ago a pretty knowledgable older fella' who was an Oshawa plant retiree told me special and fleet vehicles were known as RED TAG cars before COPO designation came out around '68?. . Red Tag and Copo vehicles were taken to a special area after their trip down the assembly line for additional equipment and preparation. . This car does have a 140 Mph Speedo also a few other things not noted in the GM info. . A couple questions, did the B07 Police option start in '68? . Also this vehicle has the K05 Block heater option as confirmed by GM and all info. I've seen says '68 was the first year for K05 w/ only 1 full size unit produced? . Thanks for any help!
