That vin stamping is 100% correct. The '66 Willow Grn L-79 Nova I found that was sitting since 1970 had the exact same vin stamping.It S around towards the front of the pad in the same exact way,same location.

I certainly do not dispute what you've found, but when one considers the mechanics of that stamping process, it's hard to imagine on a production line. Eight different number or letter stamps picked up one at a time and eight hits with the hammer?? Definitely makes for overkilling a simple job when the gang stamp is so much more efficient
