You have just hit on some of the endearing "qualities" of the mopar cars. Once you get the whine of the starter in your brain its hard to get it out. Grew up with those sounds and you can never get rid of 'em. Chrysler focused on bullet proof drive trains (and they hit the mark) and spent less time on the "niceties" of cars. You'd be surprised how well Mopar and GM can get along within the confines of a garage - hardly ever catch them fighting. Enjoy your new Mopar - have fun
