My new '69 Roadrunner came with Polyglas GTs, The F70-14 size was raised white letters.
A decent traction tire on dry roads, but when it got wet there was absolutely no traction what-so-ever. I mean really dangerous.

If you think they might be recaps, try posting a pic of the tread design. I'm sure a few here will be able to ID it as correct or not. That might be an easy way to find out.
